Eulogies Flow for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt prepared to express about his profound loss.

"Sufficient time has gone by that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the movie, remarking that he doesn't recollect "one day without mirth".

"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a different piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

This week, a Los Angeles judge ruled to prevent the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive placed a embargo on the files to limit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a official listing noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the tragedy, public figures expressed different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering divisive remarks that were broadly criticized by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the critics last week. Conversing on his program, Rogan labeled the comments as "disappointing" and remarked they showed a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an associate ought to have intervened when the impulse to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
