The Congressional oversight panel has published a collection of around 70 photographs secured from the holdings of former convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third such publication from a cache of over 95,000 photographs the panel has acquired from Epstein's property. It includes photographs of passages from the novel Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and redacted images of women's foreign passports.

This disclosure comes just hours before the 19 December deadline for the DOJ to release all documents connected to its probe into Epstein.

"These photos pose additional inquiries about what exactly the DOJ has in its holdings," said the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

Contents in the Photographs Released

A number of the images made public on this week feature Epstein conversing with professor and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a private plane; Bill Gates seen beside a woman whose face is redacted; Steve Bannon seated at a table facing Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the newest affluent, influential figures to be pictured in Epstein property images published by the committee - previously published pictures also depict US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, previous US treasury secretary Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Being pictured in the images is does not constitute indication of any misconduct, and several of the pictured figures have said they were never participating in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a press release accompanying the photo release, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate did not provide context or timings for the images.

"Images were chosen to provide the American people with clarity into a illustrative selection of the photos received from the property, and to give understanding into Epstein's network and his extremely disturbing activities," the release says.

The publication also features a number of photos of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita written in black ink across different parts of a woman's body, like her upper body, foot, pelvis, and rear. Lolita recounts the story of a adolescent who was exploited by a adult literature professor.

A particular quote from the work inscribed across a woman's upper body states, "Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue traveling of three steps down the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a series of photos of women's travel documents and identification documents from nations worldwide, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the information on the papers, like names and birth dates, is redacted but the House Oversight Committee indicated in a announcement that the passports pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were interacting with".

A further image features Epstein seated at a workstation intimately in the company of three female figures whose identities have been censored - a first has her hand on Epstein's upper body under his shirt, and a second is bending to look at a close-by laptop. Epstein seems to be helping the third individual fasten a bracelet.

Another photograph made public is a capture of text messages from an unidentified individual who says they have been provided "some girls" and are demanding "$one thousand dollars per female".

Photo Release Occurs Prior to DOJ Due Date

The panel has a vast number of photographs in its custody from the Epstein estate, which are "simultaneously explicit and everyday," its press release on recently noted.

The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the holdings of Epstein, who was found dead in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on allegations of sex trafficking, in August.

The photos and files the Epstein property gave to the panel are separate from what is largely referred to "the Epstein documents". That material are documents in the Department of Justice's possession associated with its separate investigation into Epstein.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President made law recently, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to disclose its records. The extent of the contents contained in the DOJ's files is unknown, and it's expected that a significant portion of the material will be significantly redacted, akin to the committee's documents
